What is Promenad?

Promenad (rhymes with ‘aid’) is a brand new, free online dating and socializing platform. It can help you find friends around the world or meet interesting people with the passions and goals similar to yours. Express your sympathies, exchange messages, explore faces and places – and meet!

Is Promenad free to use?

Yes! Unlike many other dating platforms, we give away a whole bunch of free features. You can find out who looked at your profile or liked it, read and write messages, and meet users outside of your immediate location.

How do I sign up with Promenad?

Just click Start Dating and choose the option to log in with – Facebook or your phone number.

I can’t see the text message with my confirmation code.

You should receive the text message with the code within 5 minutes. If it takes longer, please check the phone number you have entered. Still having problems? Please contact our support.

What information is required to complete my profile?

First off, add pictures of yourself. (Remember, the quality of these photos directly affects someone’s first impression and the action they might take when visiting your profile.) Then fill out the basic fields and add your interests for best matching.

Please be honest and try to fill in as much profile information as you can. That way, someone looking for your type of personality and set of interests will have a much better chance of finding you.

Why do I need to fill in the Purpose and Interests fields?

Once you select the Purpose of your search and specify your Interests, the system’s algorithm can match you with the most relevant among other profiles. While you may tick off all available interests to get more matches, if you do that, many of them will likely be useless. We strongly recommend that you be honest and indicate only those interests that actually apply to you.

How do I edit my profile?

You can edit your profile either via the drop-down menu in the Settings or on your profile screen by pressing Edit. Remember, the more information you enter, the easier it gets for the system to help you find the right people.

What should I write in the About me section?

We suggest that you keep it simple and straightforward, without long sentences and fancy words. Just help other users see what you are about. For example, if you named music among your interests, in your About section you might want to list your favorite bands or tracks. Another good idea is to describe an agenda you consider important and wish to share with others. Promenad is for real people, not sham profiles.

I see a green checkmark in the top right corner of someone’s photo. What does it mean?

It means the profile has been authenticated, that is, there is a real person behind this profile.

How do I get authenticated?

You need to complete two steps:

  1. Add your real photo to your profile.
  2. Go to Settings and, under Verification, confirm your email and phone number. You will receive an email message with a link and a text message with a confirmation code.

Why is my profile deleted?

There are two possible reasons for a profile to get deleted:

  1. You haven’t been using the platform for a long time.
  2. We have received a critical number of other users’ complaints concerning your profile.
If you think your profile was deleted wrongfully, please contact our support.

What are Promenad leaves?

Leaves are the Promenad in-app currency. At this time, you can spend them on liking other profiles, one leaf being the price of one like. Your basic account gives you three leaves to start you off, and every eight hours you get a fresh leaf to replace one you have previously spent. In the future, we plan to add a number of cool features to purchase with leaves.

How do I get more leaves?

You can get more leaves any time you wish. For this purpose, we offer three different sheaves of leaves:

  • 20 leaves - $9.99
  • 50 leaves - $19.99
  • 100 leaves - $29.99

I have a problem buying a leaf sheaf.

How do I submit a complaint about a user?

There are two options to report abusive behavior: via the offending user's profile or via your messages. From their profile, scroll down and press Report user. Then select the most applicable reason and describe what happened. You can also prevent this user from seeing you by pressing Hide.

How do I blacklist a user?

You can block another user by pressing the message icon in the upper right corner and then Add to Blacklist. From that moment on, this user won’t be able to message you.

I don’t want to send a complaint or block someone. Can I just hide my profile from that person?

Yes. Simply scroll down and press Hide. This user will be no longer able to see your profile. If you ever change your mind, you can undo that action under the Hidden section of your Settings. If someone is acting offensively or suspiciously, please report them by pressing Complain or contacting support.

How do I delete my profile?

Sorry to see you go! If you wish to delete your Promenad profile, simply stop using it, and after a while it will be deleted. Alternatively, contact support.
